Robert Brown & Friends
Virginia Beach 2008
There were seven facilitators, Robert, Ann Burbedge,Peter Close, Hollister Rand, John Carol a new member to the team Colin Hall and myself and Peter Victor, who did an early meditation.
Those in attendance were broken into five groups.
Each group would work with a different facilitator each morning,
Robert, Ann, John,Holly and me. I feel certain my fellow
teachers would agree each group was wonderful. They were open,
eager to learn, asked lots of questions, cooperated and
participated whenever asked. Speaking for myself I was thrilled.
I had the board room for my class, which was perfect since we
worked with the Psy cards. No one had seen or worked with these
cards before yet the touching messages they gave and received,
thrilled and shocked them all. They really amazed themselves and
many ordered the cards. Peter attended two of my classes and he
too was amazed at the results.
The afternoon sessions were filled with
either a lecture or workshop.
Robert opened with " Understanding the Role of a
Guide. Colin did his on "Colors and Symbols" Colin a fabulous
artist does Auragraphs.
Peter did " The Forgotten Art of Flower Readings"
Colin did a second on "Psychic Art and Mediumship".
Wednesday was our free afternoon and most
everyone went and toured the Edgar Cayce Foundation. It was a
very interesting place, we saw the couch where Cayce gave his
trance messages, and their library is awesome.
Thursday, a special treat, was with John Edward.
Robert had people write in questions. Coming from those in
attendance they were meaningful, pertaining to metaphysical
topics, which allowed
John to display his knowledge and share his
experiences working with spirit. He is a delightful young man
with a great sense of humor. His answers were honest with
insightful hints and personal experiences.
The evenings were also exciting to be a part of.
Sunday night was a demo Ann Burbedge and Holly Rand. Monday a
lecture by me followed by demo by Peter Tuesday Holly Rand.."
Music with Mediumship" Wednesday I hosted, what one might call,
"how brave are you" . We had 17 people who signed up to try
their hand at doing a demo. This my friends is NOT an easy task,
yet they
gave their best and did very well. We had a
panel, Ann, Holly and John who offered gentle advice. I salute
them all.
Thursday was John and Robert's night to do a demo
together...what a treat. They opened it up to 100 outsiders to
attend so the room was filled. What a treat to see two great
guys who love what they do, adore working together, and to watch
their faces and cute remarks to each other was a treasured gem.
Friday was our farewell dinner. With deep
appreciation and tons of thanks going to Pam and Sue, Robert's
right hands, for an outstanding job, making arrangements,
assistance when needed, booking private readings and in general
keeping things running smoothly.
Its always hard, especially for me, to say
goodbyes. This year was no exception. There were many who
attended that I had known from other retreats, but this year so
many new faces. Great loving and talented people who embraced
this time of sharing. The frantic picture taking, getting email
addresses, and hopes of seeing each other again next year, could
be seen and heard everywhere.
Robert is special, in my eyes and his friends. He
is loving, sincere, eager to share and without his generosity of
gathering us all together to help those who are seeking, these
events would not be
a "happening" thing. So thanks again Robert for a
great week.
For me personally it uplifted me when I needed
it, and being surrounded by so many dear old and loyal friends
is the memories of strength that will carry me through days
ahead.
Next year Robert's retreat, I believe, will be in
Southern California, I do hope many will consider joining us..
Watch for news of this event on my site.
